Bio
Paul is a partner in the Restructuring, Turnaround and Insolvency team in Herbert Smith Freehills’ Sydney office. He specialises in restructuring, insolvency and distressed debt investments.
His recent work in Australia includes advising the senior lenders on the A$1.2 billion restructuring of Bis Industries and advising the secured lenders and receivers on the Keystone Group receivership. He also works on Singapore and Indonesian cross border restructuring matters.
Paul is the vice chair of the NSW Committee of the Turnaround Management Association, and a member of the editorial boards for Global Restructuring Review and Insolvency Law Bulletin. He also writes and speaks frequently on restructuring and insolvency related topics and edits Herbert Smith Freehills’ Guide to Restructuring, Turnaround and Insolvency in Asia Pacific.
Prior to joining Herbert Smith Freehills, Paul worked in London for seven years with Linklaters and Lovells. Paul is qualified to practice law in New South Wales, England and Wales and New Zealand.
