INSOLTech Roundtable 2022

The INSOL Tech Roundtable co-organised with the Singapore Global Restructuring Initiative (SGRI) will be held on Wednesday 16 November 2022.

In-person attendance at the Roundtable is by invitation only. Places are limited to facilitate meaningful discussion between academics, policy makers, judges, regulators and practitioners who are experienced in the intersection of technology and insolvency and restructuring law. 

The Roundtable will involve a discussion of the following issues:  

  1. Cryptocurrencies and Insolvency
     
    Discussion led by Danny Ong and Dr Akshaya Kamalnath
  2. The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Insolvency and Restructuring
     
    Discussion led by Susana Hidvegi and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Felix Steffek 
  3. Blockchain, Decentralised, Smart Contracts and Insolvency
     
    Discussion led by Professor Jason Harris and Asst. Prof. Nydia Remolina 
  4. Proposals for academic work and policy reform
     
    Discussion led by Asst. Prof. Aurelio Gurrea-Martinez and Assoc. Prof. Juanitta Calitz

The objective of INSOLTech Roundtable is to bring together leading academics, policy makers, judges, regulators and practitioners to discuss novel issues that have and will arise in insolvency matters due to the advent of technology. The Roundtable is also meant as a platform for high level dialogue between practitioners with a focus on knowledge sharing and peer to peer learnings. The discussion will help provide leadership and scholarship in the intersection of insolvency and technology, and generate input for future scholarship and policy reform.
