The first in-person Caribbean Insolvency Round Table took place on Monday 9 December and was hosted by INSOL International and the World Bank Group. We were delighted to work in partnership with the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank. The event was held in The Bahamas, alongside the INSOL International Seminar, and focused on the theme of “Enhancing Regional Cooperation Across the Caribbean”.

The Caribbean region is currently facing some important economic challenges including falling tourism numbers in the aftermath of the pandemic and related job loss, increasing non-performing loans and extreme vulnerability to climate change.
The inaugural Caribbean Round Table aims to bring policymakers, the private sector and the judiciary together with the aim of discussing insolvency law and related developments across the region.
